Lone Vine on a Wall: Negative Space
This photo is an successful example of negative space as my background did not have to be out of focus. My background of cream coloured bricks made a great negative space background as they did not draw attention to itself. My focus really stands out against the neutral coloured bricks since it is a vibrant green and attracts the viewers attention naturally.
Rule of Thirds
For my “Rule of Thirds†photo, I used a person as a subject portraying a great deal of emotion on her face. Her face is placed is one of the visual hotspots in the tic-tac-toe grid, making this a successful photo. This photo successfully uses various textures within the image, adding dimension.
